"Casandra is an excellent teacher and people person. She is just naturally gifted. She knows how to run her class, she gets things done but is always fun while doing it". - Cabrillo College Dancer
"Casandra's greatest strength is to inspire. She brings to class an enthusiastic energy that proves she loves to dance and this drives students to try their best". -Cabrillo College Dancer
“I <3 ballet! Thank you CASANDRA OWEN-HILLMAN for being a wonderful teacher, creating a fun learning environment, and helping me break through (slowly but surely) another dance barrier. I am really enjoying myself in class. Ballet is fun!” - Cabrillo College Dancer
“After 6 years (on and off) of sweating, looking like a fool, and trying to do Ballet, for the first time one of my fellow students and my teachers really acknowledged my ability (in ballet), and commented to the class of my ‘professional skills as a dancer’. Doing ballet has been one of my hardest endeavors, just after surfing. It has been an uphill battle, and more times than not, after class I feel like abandoning the idea because it is so damned hard, I think I’m too old, and I do NOT have a ballerina’s body. But I strive for the challenge, and when you accomplish things in your body that you thought were impossible to execute yourself and you thought that you could only see others doing, it is one of the most satisfying things ever!!! Never abandon your dreams! Stay positive and THANK YOU Casandra Owen- HILLMAN you are truly the best ballet teacher I have ever had, and I feel grateful to have you in my life”- Professional Dancer, MFA Candidate
"Today I feel like a dancer. I'm all bruised and In pain but had such an amazing class I forgot all about it and just danced. It felt so good.
Thanks to Casandra Owen Hillman" - Canada College Dancer
"Using humor and levity, Casandra jokes a lot and takes pressure off being perfect, encouraging personal style yet pushing for improvement in getting the steps and moves down. So that's a good combination of approaches. I think students feel encouraged to succeed, learn and enjoy, and there is a good camaraderie between teacher and students because she demands a lot and gives reasonable praise, feedback and constructive criticism."- Cabrillo College Dancer
